When you join Champagny piste Rossa Bas, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d joined a totally separate piste but, according to the trail map, this run is actually a continuation of the main Rossa piste above it. The run is ranked red – though it’s a generous grading and probably only rated such because it’s marginally steeper than the Rossa blue which precedes it. Most riders of most abilities will get down just fine.

At the bottom, you have options to take the Borseliers chair back up (right) or continue left on the Les Bois red piste all the way down to Champagny village. For most riders, Rossa Bas is little more than a link run to get to either – often used first thing in the morning by those staying in Champagny.

Pros
  • Link from Champagny
  • Wide and forgiving
  • Feeds into Les Bois red
  • Great scenery
Cons
  • Can get busy
  • Camber to the right
