The Grande Rochette lift France is a short, fixed pole Poma drag lift in the middle of Plagne Centre, next to the Le France building. It serves a very short beginner run or, alternatively riders can follow the excellent beginner Boulevard piste down to the Boulevard chair or go further and join the Bergerie chair.

This poma is very slow with zero ‘kick’ at the start so is perfect for complete novices to learn lift skills and practice their technique on the short piste to the right.

Pros
  • Very central
  • Good beginner lift
  • Accesses very good beginner run
  • A great place to learn
Cons
  • This is most definitely just for beginners
