The Grande Rochette area of La Plagne has some of the best and most popular runs in the whole resort and is equally served by some of the fastest and biggest lifts. While this part of La Plagne is undoubtedly susceptible to high traffic, the lift system mostly copes well apart from the major arterial lift, the Bergerie chair, which is used by most skiers and snowboarders to get from Plagne Centre, Plagne Villages and Plagne Soleil to the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio sector and Plagne Bellecôte / Belle Plagne.
La Plagne's mission to upgrade the resort's older lifts continues at pace again this year with the announcement of a new replacement lift for the aging (and painfully slow) Verdons Nord TSF chair
The Grande Rochette lift Aollets drag lift is one of the more tricky pomas in La Plagne but gives direct access out of Plagne Villages to the much higher runs in this area
The Grande Rochette lift Bergerie chairlift offers a high-speed ride out of Plagne Soleil but is still one of La Plagne's busiest lifts and should be avoided during the busiest times of the season
Biquet is a short drag lift, hidden behind Plagne Villages and serving a tiny beginners' / kids' area nestled between the trees.
Boulevard is a slow chair in Plagne Centre that serves one of the best early beginner skier and snowboarder areas in La Plagne, perfect for learning
The short Chevrette lift is next to Aollets drag lift out of Plagne Villages and is used by skiers and snowboarders to access Plagne Centre on the Bridge piste
Colorado chair in Plagne Centre serves some of the best interesting intermediate pistes in La Plagne - and the excellent Piste Mauve beginner area / Luge Park
The Dou du Praz lift rarely sees any queues yet grants quick access to Plagne Bellecôte (on the Bretelle Trieuse run) or Plagne 1800 on the Dou du Praz piste
France is a short, fixed pole drag lift in Plagne Centre, next to the Le France building serving a very short beginner run in the heart of La Plagne
La Plagne's Funiplagne out of Plagne Centre gives access to the Grande Rochette pistes, Champagny sector, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Villages and Plagne Soleil
The short Mélézes chair out of Plagne 1800 is an arterial link for skiers and snowboarders in 1800 to get access up to the main Grande Rochette bowl and beyond
Télébaby is a very short, traditional extending pole Poma drag lift on the Front de Neige of Plagne Centre giving access to a great La Plagne beginner area
Télébus is a pedestrian lift that provides quick access between Plagne Soleil / Plagne Villages and Plagne Centre saving the 30 and 45 minute walk
NOTE - THE VERDONS NORD HAS NOW BEEN REPLACED BY THE LOVATIÈRE CHAIR which accesses some of the best intermediate skiing and snowboarding in La Plagne
