Pedestrians in a ski resort often feel a little hard done by – as do beginner skiers or snowboarders who might lack the skills to get back down to resort on the often steep pistes. However, pedestrians staying in any of La Plagne’s villages can take advantage of the extensive gondola lift network to access the highest parts of the area, including the base of the Bellecôte glacier.

Affiliations: La Plagne 360 works with industry-leading suppliers to bring you the best services. If you click on these links, in many cases we will receive a tiny commission at no cost to you. AND, most of the time, you'll receive a deal. Win/Win! We only feature products we have used and believe in.

While there isn’t much here in terms of bars or restaurants (just a snack hut), it’s still worth the journey up to this, one of La Plagne’s more remote sectors. Once you’re done, you can take the long ride back down (and up again) on the glacier gondola to the Roche de Mio restaurant and enjoy the views (and a beer) there. Check our YouTube channel to see more La Plagne video footage.
