The 6-person Montchavin lift Bijolin chair is an integral lift in La Plagne, rising steeply above Montchavin and Les Coches villages up to the hub of lifts at the summit of the Montchavin sector. The lift also serves as a primary link back from Les Arcs so can get busy first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon – though, because it’s high-speed and carries six per chair, queues are still relatively rare here.
The Bijolin chair takes just over five minutes to reach the top where you can choose from the Mont Blanc blue or Dos Rond blue runs back down the main Montchavin side or the Replat piste towards the Crozats chair and Salla chair (both of which give access back into the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio pistes or Belle Plagne / Plagne Bellecôte). The Bijolin lift starts at an important hub point on this side of the mountain, next to the top of the Plan Bois chair and Lac Noir gondola. Top tip – take a second to look behind you. The views are astounding over the Isère valley towards Mont Blanc.
