Montchavin lift Montchavin
The high-speed Montchavin lift Montchavin chairlift rises out of the far end of Montchavin village up to the end of the Pelées black run and base station of the high-speed Pierres Blanches chair. Rising just over 450m at a max 60% gradient, the chair takes the fastest, most direct route back up the hill in around five minutes.
Taking a combination of this and Pierres Blanches followed by the Dos Rond chair or Plan Leschaux drag lift gets you up to the top of the Montchavin pistes in around 20 minutes – where you can then ride down to Crozats detachable chairlift or Salla fixed chairlift to access the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio pistes and, thereafter, the full area.
Alternatively, ride down then turn right to join the Mont Blanc blue piste which will take you directly to the Vanoise Express, giving access to Paradiski’s other resort, Les Arcs.
- Long, fast chair
- Great scenery
- Provides access out of some of La Plagne’s lowest terrain
- Great off-piste terrain below chair
- Busy first thing in the morning and later in the day with Les Arcs traffic
