Montchavin piste Marmottes
As the Montchavin piste Marmottes red run isn’t served by any uplift (yet), this run is very much just a link piste but provides a very convenient way of reaching the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio sector without having to go round the front of the mountain. The piste can only be accessed by taking the Crozats chair out from the Montchavin side then following the start of the Teppes blue.
After the short start traverse on this run, the piste splits in two with Teppes dropping left while the Marmottes red branches off to the right. Aside from a couple of steep-ish pitches, this run is really more a blue than red and most riders early intermediate or above should easily handle it.
The run traverses around the side of the hill, terminating at the base of the high-speed, detachable Inversens chair which gives direct, fast access to Roche de Mio. There are various plans in the pipeline to develop this side of the mountain to give access back to near the summit of Crozats, thereby providing two-way travel between the Roche de Mio and Montchavin sectors.
