Leitchoums blue piste: Leitchoums is one of La Plagne’s under-used runs, mostly because it feels remote and looks like it’s only accessed via the Col de Forcle drag lift. In reality, you can also reach it by going straight on at the bottom of the Petite Rochette blue piste off Grande Rochette, or by taking Roc du Diable off the Blanchets blue piste.
The run starts with a long, gliding section on a fairly narrow pathway, then hooks sharply left and gradually opens out as it approaches the Colosses chair. Your main ‘challenge’ is speed management: there’s a long flat where people often end up walking, so if you’re confident, try to carry speed off the steeper pitches above. It steepens again towards Plagne Bellecôte, but most riders will be absolutely fine — it’s the flats that bite.

La Plagne intermediate piste Leitchoums: This is a great “when you want space” blue — especially if you’re happy to manage speed and don’t mind a couple of flatter traverses. It feels pleasantly tucked-away compared to the busier arterial runs into Bellecôte.
If you’re riding it for the first time, keep an eye out for the sharper left-hand turn after the opening glide, and try to carry momentum into the longer flat sections (you’ll see plenty of people walking here on most days).

Quick tip: Terrain varies a lot across La Plagne, and the wrong setup can turn an easy day into hard work. Booking ski or snowboard hire in advance means the right kit is ready, sizes are available and rental prices are cheaper online — plus you can choose a shop close to where you’re staying.

Leitchoums blue: Quiet, varied and good fun when you’ve got your speed under control — but expect long flats and mixed ability traffic on the path-like sections.

Quick tip: Even straightforward pistes can change quickly with weather, visibility and traffic. Good cover means lift evacuation, medical help and rescue costs are handled if something goes wrong — which in the Alps can otherwise be expensive.
If you haven’t sorted cover yet, it’s worth doing before your trip.
