The mighty Colosses chair is, for most people, the primary link out of the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio sector into the main areas around Plagne Centre, Aime 2000, Plagne Montalbert and even Champagny. This 8-person chair was at one point the fastest in France so, while queues are common, they tend to dissipate quickly due to the sheer volume of riders the lift can carry. It is also one of La Plagne’s fastest lifts.

At the top of the Colosses chair, you have the option to drop back down to Plagne Bellecôte on the Arolles blue or Trieuse blue, head to Plagne Soleil on the Écartee blue or drop over to Plagne Centre by joining the Mira or Dolines blues. There are also options to try some easily accessible out of bounds riding under the Colosses chair which is much easier and safer than other La Plagne off-piste routes.

Note, you should always hire a La Plagne guide when tackling any off-piste riding.

Pros
  • Super fast chair
  • Great scenery
  • Very comfortable
  • Good runs at the top
  • Links Bellecôte to Centre
  • Even with big queues, they normally move pretty quick
Cons
  • This lift gets very busy – especially early morning / late afternoon
