What is the best piste in La Plagne? Speak to any seasonnaire or long-term La Plagne local and most people will agree the Mont de la Guerre Champagny piste is the best run in La Plagne. While this run is often closed early or late season, if you get it good, it’s very good. Mont de la Guerre is accessed via the Bozelet blue piste from the top of the Verdons Sud or Lovatière chairs. It’s clearly marked but, just in case you have bother finding it, stay right as you come down Bozelet. You’ll want to keep your speed at the top of the access to this run as there’s a fairly lengthy cat-track traverse to complete before you get to the main piste.

The Mont de la Guerre piste – the best piste in La Plagne

Once you get past this track, the run opens massively with incredible views over Trois Vallées. This is definitely La Plagne selfie moment territory. There are various options for getting down via the more direct red run but it’s also possible to ride the frequent pathway tracks that take a considerably more mellow route until you reach the final steepish section down to the Champagny gondola. While sections of this run are pretty easy, you should have at least confident intermediate skills to ride it. However, if you’re at that level, this piste is definitely worth doing.

The best run in La Plagne? We’ll let you decide but it certainly must come very close.
