The Bergerie piste is a very short green run located near the top station of the Champagny gondola in the main beginners’ area. The run is the perfect gradient and length for La Plagne beginners to learn the basics before progressing onto slightly tougher challenges like the Eterlou or runs around the Rossa chair.

There is also a decent run-out area which should inspire confidence in even the timidest of novice riders – plus the advantage of a very easy ride home on the main Champagny gondola. For beginners needing to take a break, there’s also a restaurant located close by at the gondola top station.

Pros
  • Great for beginners
  • Sunny
  • Good scenery
  • Good gradient to learn
Cons
  • Very short run
  • Lift can get busy
