Montchavin piste Murs
The Montchavin piste Murs black run is another of La Plagne’s ‘Natur’ pistes – meaning it doesn’t get pisted. Consequently, the bumps on this run can get horrendous later in the season. Still, catch this run after fresh snow and it’s an enjoyable detour for more skilled riders off the Mont Blanc blue.
To access, ride down the top of Mont Blanc until you reach the restaurant near the foot of the Dos Rond chair. Here, Mont Blanc splits with the Pierres Blanches blue branching right. A short way down, look for a clearing on your right which signifies the start of Murs.
Although the Montchavin sector Murs black run is very short, it still has a consistently steep gradient. Be careful of the crossing point with the Myrtilles blue piste as riders can appear from your right – frequently at speed.
