Plagne Bellecôte piste Blanchets
Depending on your ability, Blanchets a La Plagne intermediate piste that you will likely love or loath. After a short dogleg right at the top, there are two gentle pitches which you pretty much need to straight-line to have any hope of getting across the massive, long flat section that comes next.
If you’re not confident enough to ride this section at speed, you’ll end up having to walk across the plateau until the gradient starts to steepen again (near the bottom of the freestyle park). Don’t worry – if this happens to you, you won’t be alone. On any given day, there are always people walking across the flat section.
Blanchets then continues onwards, crossing over the Col de Forcle poma with a slight camber to the right before joining the Leitchoums piste down to Plagne Bellecôte. In truth, this is a pretty unspectacular run – unless there’s been fresh snow in which case the wide-open top bowl offers numerous easy off-piste excursions without having to stray far from the main pistes.
- Wide piste
- Easy access off-piste
- Main run through Bellecôte bowl
- Long enough / wide enough to mostly not feel busy
- Very long flat midway
- Be wary of other out of control riders
