Mouflon is a short blue piste in La Plagne which flows off the main Mont Blanc blue piste. As with many other runs in La Plagne (and particularly in the Montchavin sector) it’s very easy to stray onto this run without even realising as it’s easy to confuse with the main Mont Blanc run.

Mouflon starts around mid-way down the Mont Blanc, near the top of the Sauget drag lift. In many ways, it seems more logical to continue onto this piste rather than turning to the right (the direction of Mont Blanc). Instead, Mouflon continues straight on, crossing the bottom of Stade de le Buffette before doubling back to rejoin Mont Blanc a little further down near the top of the Télébufette and Coches gondola lifts.

Pros
  • Very mellow gradient
  • Usually quiet
  • Easy access off-piste
  • Great tree-riding nearby
  • Alternate Mont Blanc route
Cons
  • Top section very flat
