Montchavin lift Salla
The 6-person Montchavin lift Salla chair is one of two main links back over to the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio pistes and Belle Plagne / Plagne Bellecôte from the Montchavin pistes and lifts in the Montchavin sector – so, consequently, is a key access point to reach the rest of the resort.
The Salla lift is accessed by riding down from the Plan Leschaux poma, Dos Rond chair or Bijolin chair on the front side of Montchavin. It’s also possible to ride direct down the Replat run from the top of the Arpette chair – or even take the Replat tow and ride the blue down from there (unlikely as most people use Replat to reach the front side of Montchavin).
Due to Salla being the first lift you reach on your way back from the front of Montchavin and Les Coches or Les Arcs, it might be tempting to catch this lift thinking it’s quicker. However, in reality, the new Crozats chair is a much faster option – plus it makes for a longer run on the way into the main side on the Barrières piste. Certainly, our first choice would always be Crozats between these two chairs.
- Great scenery
- Queues rare
- Links into main area
- Very slow
- Just an access lift
- The Crozats chair is much quicker & the run into the main area from the top is better too
