The Plagne Bellecôte lift Ange magic carpet lift is located at the top of the Arpette chair and provides access to a perfect beginner area with fantastic views over Mt Blanc and the main La Plagne area. The Arpette area has some of the best views in La Plagne.

Magic carpets are universally acknowledged as being the easy type of lift for total novice riders. The biggest advantage of this piste and lift is its height – meaning even novice skiers and snowboarders can get a taste of riding at altitude rather than being stuck on valley lifts.

After just a few hours, most beginners should be able to pick their way down the mellow Dunes, Arpette or Laines blues to get home.

Pros
  • Usually quiet
  • Covered & warm
  • New magic carpet
  • Great views at top
  • Provides uplift to good beginner area
Cons
  • Learn quickly – you still need to get down at the end of day 😉
