La Plagne Plagne Montalbert village guide: Plagne Montalbert’s location on the far right of the area makes it the most isolated (and also least visited) sector of the entire resort. This relatively sleepy village has grown to accommodate skiers and snowboarders but the pace of life down here is quieter than the higher resorts and there is less La Plagne nightlife. There is a limited number of bars and restaurants directly on-site and evenings tend to be less rowdy.
Still, there’s great riding to be had on the hill directly accessed via the Montalbert gondola and this is one of the best places to come in bad weather. Check the iRide / La Plagne 360 YouTube channel for more info.

While there are good bars and restaurants in Plagne Montalbert, it simply can’t compete with its rivals higher up the hill. However, if your ski or snowboard trip is more about riding than partying, this could be a good choice. Due to its rather remote location, the runs above Montalbert tend to stay much quieter here and it’s possible to make powder turns here much longer than anywhere else in La Plagne. You should also bear in mind, the village’s lower altitude means snow cover and quality can vary considerably during the season (particularly the start and end). Also note – unlike the high Alpine stations, there is only a basic bus service here so options are limited unless you have a car.
